DDC Baramulla Minga Sherpa reviews physical and financial progress under district capex

Baramulla, February 13: District Development Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, chaired a review meeting at Dak Bungalow, Baramulla, to assess the physical and financial progress of projects under the District Capex Budget for 2024-25. The meeting focused on evaluating fund utilization, project execution, and identifying bottlenecks hindering the progress of development works.

During the session, Joint Director Planning Baramulla, Javed Ahmad, presented a sector-wise overview detailing the financial expenditures and physical targets achieved. The presentation offered valuable insights into fund allocations, utilisation rates, and the overall progress of ongoing projects.

DDC Minga Sherpa urged all departments to expedite project implementation, ensure the optimal use of funds, and maintain quality standards. He emphasised the importance of inter-departmental coordination and instructed officers to promptly address issues delaying the completion of projects.

Additionally, DDC Sherpa directed officials to expedite the clearance of pending bills to prevent financial delays in project execution. He stressed the need for faster progress in the next two weeks and instructed executing agencies to intensify efforts, deploy additional workforce, and ensure that pending targets are met within the stipulated timeframe.

Officers from various departments, including Roads & Buildings, Rural Development, Hydraulic, Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited, Jal Shakti Department, Integrated Child Development Services , Education, and others, provided updates on their respective projects. The DDC emphasized enhancing monitoring mechanisms to maintain transparency, accountability, and efficiency in developmental works.

Concluding the meeting, DDC Minga Sherpa issued clear directives to all concerned departments to ramp up efforts over the next two weeks, ensuring visible progress on the ground. He reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to timely and effective development, ensuring that the benefits of various projects reach the people of Baramulla without delay.
