srinagar, july 25 – in a step towards supporting families affected by terrorism, deputy commissioner srinagar, Akshay Labroo, chaired a district level screening cum coordination committee (dlscc) meeting at the dc office complex to review claims submitted under sro-43 by next of kin (noks) of those killed in terror-related incidents.
the committee held detailed deliberations on each case, and after thorough scrutiny, recommended 30 cases for compassionate appointment under sro-43. this move aims to provide employment support to the bereaved families through government job placements.
while addressing the meeting, the dc stressed the need for speedy and transparent disposal of all pending cases. he called for a coordinated and proactive approach among all departments to bring down the pendency of such cases to zero. he also emphasized the importance of timely intervention so that the families receive the assistance they deserve without unnecessary delays.
the meeting was attended by additional deputy commissioner srinagar adil fareed, sp headquarters umer shah, additional sp cid, assistant commissioner revenue, chief medical officer, district social welfare officer, all tehsildars, senior officers from bsf, army, and other concerned departments.
the administration reaffirmed its commitment to extending timely support to families affected by conflict, recognizing their loss and ensuring welfare through compassionate action.
