Shopian, Sept 15: Deputy Commissioner Shopian, Shishir Gupta, chaired a meeting to finalize the arrangements for the upcoming Sewa Parv celebrations in the district. The event will be observed from September 17 to October 2, with a special focus on public service delivery and citizen-centric activities.
During the meeting, officers from various departments were directed to ensure effective implementation of programs under Sewa Parv, aimed at improving transparency, accountability, and accessibility of government services for the people of Shopian.
The fortnight-long initiative will include awareness campaigns, grievance redressal camps, outreach activities, and special drives designed to connect citizens directly with the administration. Officials emphasised that the program aligns with the government’s vision of good governance and public participation.
The DC stressed the need for inter-departmental coordination and active community involvement to make Sewa Parv in Shopian a success, ensuring that the benefits of government schemes and services reach every section of society.
