Samba , November 18,2025: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Dr. (Name if needed), conducted an inspection of the High-Tech Poly House established in the district, reviewing ongoing efforts to promote modern farming, protected cultivation, and agri-tech innovations among local farmers.
During the visit, the DC assessed the functioning of the poly house, crop growth patterns, irrigation mechanisms, temperature-control systems, and the use of advanced agricultural technologies aimed at boosting productivity. Officials from the Agriculture Department briefed the Deputy Commissioner on how the high-tech facility enables year-round cultivation, better yield management, and reduced weather-related crop losses.
The DC emphasized the importance of adopting climate-resilient farming, hi-tech poly house cultivation, and innovative agricultural practices to increase farmers’ income and support sustainable development in the district. He encouraged field officers to scale up awareness programmes to help farmers transition from traditional methods to technology-driven agriculture.
The High-Tech Poly House project is part of the district’s broader strategy to strengthen precision farming, promote horticulture under controlled conditions, and enhance the overall agri-economy of Samba. Officials noted that poly houses play a crucial role in cultivating high-value crops, vegetables, and floriculture varieties that can significantly benefit farmers.
