RAMBAN, MAY 27: Hundreds of young jobseekers today flocked to Government ITI Ramban to register for different jobs in the Job Fair organised by the District Employment & Counselling Centre.
The Job Fair was inaugurated by Deputy Commissioner, Mussarat Islam in presence of President Municipal Council Ramban, Suneeta Sumbria and Assistant Director Employment, Dr. Sushant Mahajan, Principal ITI Ramban, Parvaiz Ahmed CCO & other officials.
Speaking on the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner appreciated the initiative and encouraged unemployed job seekers to take advantage of this opportunity. The DC raised the concerns of unemployed youth and urged the participating companies to engage maximum youth to give a boost to their careers. He also appealed to the unemployed youth to take a keen interest in self-employment and become entrepreneurs to generate livelihood for themselves and others as well, adding that the Government is committed to their hand-holding under the ambitious Mission Youth Programme.
President Municipal Council Ramban, while interacting with the participants emphasized on the importance of realizing the opportunities provided by the government.
Speaking on the occasion, Assistant Director Employment laid stress on various challenges faced by the youth in seeking jobs and urged the companies to engage maximum youth in order to provide them access to various Career options.
About 300 job seekers applied on the spot for 47 vacancies offered by 11 employers at the event and over 30 applicants were shortlisted for these vacancies and 05 candidates were offered Appointment letters on the spot. In addition, on-spot awareness and registration regarding various government schemes were also conducted.
