Poonch, December 19: Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Vikas Kundal, chaired a critical meeting at the DC Office Complex to review the status of pending court cases across various departments. The meeting focused on cases awaiting resolution in subordinate courts in District Poonch, as well as in higher forums including the High Court, Central Administrative Tribunal , National Green Tribunal , National Human Rights Commission , and Central Information Commission .
During the meeting, the Deputy Commissioner sought detailed updates from concerned officers regarding the current status of these cases. Specific attention was given to those cases pending responses from various departments. Demonstrating a strong commitment to ensuring swift legal processes, DC Kundal emphasised the need for prompt filing of replies for pending complaints. He instructed all concerned departments to submit reports on outstanding cases without delay, stressing that these submissions are crucial for legal vetting by the Law Department before finalizing any responses.
The DC also underscored the importance of transparency, accountability, and ethical conduct in handling these cases. He directed all officers to prioritise the community’s best interests while managing legal matters.
In a significant update, DC Kundal announced that all cases under SRO-43 had been successfully resolved, with no pending matters remaining in that category. He encouraged a collaborative approach among departments to enhance their legal expertise, thereby contributing to the overall development of Poonch district.
