SRINAGAR, March 27, 2025 – The Divisional Commissioner Kashmir, Vijay Kumar Bidhuri, extended his heartfelt greetings to the people of the region on the auspicious occasions of Shab-e-Qadr and Jummat Ul Vida, two significant religious observances in the Islamic calendar. With Shab-e-Qadr, known as the Night of Power, and Jummat Ul Vida, the last Friday of Ramadan, drawing large gatherings for prayers and reflection, the availability of electricity and water supply is deemed essential to accommodate the needs of worshippers at mosques and shrines across the valley.
Local authorities have been urged to coordinate with relevant departments, including the Kashmir Power Distribution Corporation Limited (KPDCL) and the Public Health Engineering (PHE) Department, to prevent disruptions. Bidhuri’s proactive approach reflects the administration’s focus on ensuring that essential services remain operational, particularly during peak times of religious significance.
