JAMMU, OCTOBER 19: Deputy Commissioner, Sachin Kumar Vaishya, presided over meeting of the Rogi Kalyan Samiti for Government Hospital Sarwal today.
The DC urged all present to dedicate their efforts to improving healthcare in the area, pointing out that ample funds are available for development and the focus must be on aligning priorities to address pressing healthcare needs. He meticulously reviewed reports of medical procedures, including deliveries, surgeries and medical tests, as well as the performance of the OPD.
The DC emphasised the significance of PM Jan Aushadhi Kendras and said that patients be encouraged to buy medicines from these shops. He also promoted the PMJAY SEHAT Golden Cards, highlighting their role in offering free government services that greatly contribute to public welfare.
In the meeting, the DC stressed the need for prompt action on estimating and tendering important developmental projects for the hospital, emphasising the importance of enhancing healthcare services in the region.
The Deputy Commissioner expressed his confidence in the exceptional capabilities of government doctors to handle various medical challenges and recommended the establishment of help desks to assist patients efficiently.
Additionally, the meeting addressed the establishment of new medical and infrastructural facilities within the hospital besides management issues which were discussed in detail. The meeting also touched upon health-related awareness activities conducted by the hospital.
The meeting was attended by Additional Deputy Commissioner Sandeep Seointra, Chief Medical Officer Dr. Harbaksh Singh, Medical Superintendent Government Hospital Sarwal, Superintendent Engineer PWD and Executive Engineers from various departments.
