DODA, April 12, 2025 – An impactful environmental awareness drive was organised at Khalleni by the Live For Others-Being Helpful Foundation in collaboration with 48 Rashtriya Rifles, Talla Jewellers, and other local partners, including New Standard Higher Secondary School Khalleni, Government HSS Khalleni, and Navdurga Parbandhan Committee Dedhni. The event, flagged off by Deputy Commissioner Doda Harvinder Singh , focused on promoting cleanliness, waste management, and public participation under the banners of #CleanDoda and #GreenMission.
The initiative aimed to educate the community on the importance of maintaining a clean environment and adopting sustainable practices. DC Doda Harvinder Singh emphasised the need for proper waste collection, segregation, and recycling, highlighting their role in fostering healthier lifestyles and cognitive development, especially among children. “A clean environment is the foundation for better livelihoods and sustainable growth,” he stated during the event.
The program saw active involvement from local schools, community members, and volunteers, reinforcing the message of collective responsibility. Certificates of appreciation were presented by the Live For Others Foundation to the chief guest and other dignitaries for their support in advancing the cause of environmental conservation.
