DODA, FEBRUARY 17: Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh flagged off a group of 35 farmers for an inter-UT agro-exposure visit within Jammu and Kashmir. The initiative, organised by the Department of Agriculture Production & Farmers Welfare, Doda, is aimed at developing the seed and seed multiplication chain.
During the flag-off ceremony, the DC engaged with the farmers, highlighting the significance of exposure visits in enhancing their understanding of modern agricultural practices and promoting agro-entrepreneurship. He encouraged the participants to maximise this opportunity by learning advanced techniques and innovations that can be implemented in Doda to improve agricultural productivity and profitability.
Chief Agriculture Officer Anil Gupta, along with officials from the Agriculture Department, was present at the event. The participating farmers, representing various parts of the district, expressed their enthusiasm for the visit, believing it will have a positive impact on their farming practices.
This exposure visit is designed to deepen farmers’ knowledge of progressive farming methods and encourage the adoption of innovative agro-techniques, fostering growth and sustainability in the district’s agricultural sector.
