GANDERBAL, DECEMBER 24: Deputy Commissioner Ganderbal, Shyambir, chaired a meeting at the DC office to review the implementation of Mission Yuva Udhayami Vikas Abhiyan in the district. The mission, aimed at fostering sustainable employment opportunities in Jammu and Kashmir, focuses on supporting the creation of new micro-enterprises, expanding existing businesses, and encouraging innovative entrepreneurial ventures.
During the meeting, the DC highlighted the objectives of Mission YUVA and stressed the importance of ensuring the mission’s effective implementation through coordinated efforts among departments and stakeholders. He discussed strategies for providing necessary training to entrepreneurs and officials, with a focus on building strong inter-departmental collaboration.
Shyambir directed all line departments to prioritise key action points and ensure that each department understands its role in achieving the mission’s goals. He also conducted a detailed review of the training and demonstration sessions for the nominated supervisors and investigators who will oversee the baseline survey under Mission YUVA. The Additional District Employment Officer informed that the training of the nominated staff is progressing and is on track to be completed within the set timeline.
The DC urged the officers to prioritise the planning and execution of a comprehensive baseline survey to assess existing and potential entrepreneurs in the district. The meeting also addressed the preparations for the survey, including a training program held for supervisors and investigators at the Conference Hall of the Mini Secretariat. This training aims to ensure a smooth and efficient enumeration process during the survey.
