DODA, 19 September ,2025- District Development Commissioner (DDC) Harvinder Singh today chaired a comprehensive review meeting in the DC Office to assess the progress under the District Capex Budget 2025-26. The meeting brought together key officers and sectoral heads to evaluate physical and financial achievements, identify bottlenecks, and ensure the timely execution of developmental projects across the district. The meeting focused on a comprehensive review of the progress made under District Capex 2025-26, including assessment of the number of works sanctioned, tendered, allotted, and taken up for execution across different sectors and grant-wise divisions. The meeting also deliberated on the financial status of ongoing projects and the current status of worksuploaded on the E-compendium. Further, the discussions covered the closure of works on the BEAMS portal for PV validation, constituency-wise details of works executed under the Constituency Development Fund (CDF), and other relevant issues. Senior officials, including the Additional District Development Commissioner Roshan Lal; ACD Din Mohd Afaqi; CPO Manesh Kumar Manhas; Superintending Engineers from PWD, JPDCL, and Hydraulic Circle, as well as sectoral officers from Agriculture, Education, Youth Services & Sports, Medical, and Forest Departments, participated in the review. Executive Engineers of REW and the Ground Water Division joined the meeting through virtual mode, Block Development Officers, representatives of JAKEDA, and other line departments were also present with updated data on works accorded, tendered, allotted, and executed.
The CPO presented a detailed overview of progress under the District Capex Budget 2025-26 through a PowerPoint presentation. The meeting reviewed the number of works sanctioned, tendered, allotted, and taken up for execution. Detailed discussions were held on the financial status of ongoing projects, non-feasible works with justifications, uploading of works on the E-compendium, closure of projects on BEAMS for the PV portal, and constituency-wise status of works under CDF. The DDC emphasized transparency, timely tendering, and strict quality monitoring to ensure effective utilization of resources and faster delivery of public assets. The DDC issued directions to departments lagging behind schedule to adhere to strict deadlines, prioritizepeople-centric and community-demanded works, and ensure third-party monitoring for quality assurance. The review included detailed assessment of departments such as RDD, Health, Power Development Department, School Education, PWD (R&B), Jal Shakti, PHE Division, Irrigation & Flood Control, and CDF grants. A block-wise review of CDF works was conducted with respective BDOs, along with an examinationof physical and financial progress reports regarding the Capex 2025-26 budget. The DDC directed all concerned stakeholders not to compromise on quality while executing developmental works and to complete all pending projects within stipulated timelines.
