DODA, MARCH 01: Deputy Commissioner, Harvinder Singh along with ADC, Sudarshan Kumar led a comprehensive meeting with stakeholder departments and non-official committees to review arrangements for the upcoming holy month of Ramzan.
The meeting stressed on strengthening essential services such as drinking water, power supply, security, traffic management, issue of stray animals, cleanliness, availability of essential commodities and market monitoring.
The DC instructed the Public Health Engineering (PHE) department to take measures to maintain supply of potable water, while the Power Development Department (PDD) was tasked with providing uninterrupted electricity.
The Police authorities were tasked to maintain necessary vigil and Security arrangements.
The ARTO was asked to regulate traffic management. MC Doda and Bhaderwah were directed to maintain hygiene in and around the Town and the CA&FCS department for ensuring the availability of essential commodities at government-approved rates.
ADC Kumar stressed on the importance of collaboration among departments to minimize inconvenience to the public. He highlighted the importance of ongoing mechanisms, such as the formation of supervisory squads and monitoring committees to ensure compliance with regulations. Additionally, departments were directed to address specific concerns raised during the meeting such as maintaining uniform rates etc.
The meeting was attended by district officers, representatives of line departments, members of the Seerat Committee Doda, members of the Butcher Association, Chicken Seller Association, President Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Doda and President of Vegetable Seller Association. Additionally, police officers and SDMs also participated virtually in the meeting.
