DODA, JUNE 15: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Harvinder Singh, today chaired a meeting to review and approve cases under the PM Vishwakarma scheme. The district-level committee convened at the mini conference hall of the DC office complex in Doda.
The meeting was attended by GM DIC S. Parmjeet Singh (JKAS), ACP Doda, executive officers of ULB Doda and Bhaderwah, AD handicraft and handloom, the zonal manager of J&K Bank, and superintendents of ITI, among others.
During the meeting, it was reported that approximately 18,419 cases had been approved out of a total of 26,089 applications received at the GP/ULB level. The committee discussed trade-wise data related to the PM Vishwakarma schemes and noted that around 3,666 cases were presented for approval.
The discussion also covered the training status of various vocational courses under the scheme. It was informed that trades such as tailoring, masonry, carpentry, barbering, blacksmithing, and laundering (Dhobi) had completed their training sessions. The committee emphasized the importance of these trades in empowering local artisans and workers.
