BARAMULLA, JANUARY 21 – In a moment of pride and patriotism, Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, inaugurated a 105-feet-high Indian National Flag at the DC Office premises, marking a significant occasion for the district.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Commandant CRPF 53 Battalion, Additional Deputy Commissioner Baramulla, Joint Director Planning, and other senior officers and officials. The event was further dignified by a ceremonial Guard of Honour presented by contingents from the 112 Naga Battalion, adding to the solemnity and grandeur of the occasion.
Speaking at the event, DC Minga Sherpa emphasised the profound significance of the National Flag as a symbol of India’s unity, sovereignty, and pride. He extended his appreciation to the Municipal Council Baramulla for spearheading the initiative to install the monumental flag, which stands as a powerful emblem of both national pride and the civic spirit of the community.
The ceremony concluded with the unfurling of the flag, followed by the solemn rendition of the National Anthem, creating an atmosphere of unity and reverence. The towering flag now serves as a beacon of Baramulla’s commitment to patriotism, national integrity, and the enduring values that bind the country together.
