Baramulla, November 1,2025: The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Minga Sherpa, accompanied by Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Baramulla, Gurinderpal Singh, today flagged off a Padyatra from the Government Degree College (GDC) Ground to Dak Bungalow, Baramulla.
The event witnessed enthusiastic participation of students, youth, and civil society members, who carried the Tricolour and banners showcasing messages of unity, peace, and national harmony. The initiative aimed to foster the spirit of “Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat” and promote communal harmony across the district.
Speaking on the occasion, DC Minga Sherpa highlighted the importance of collective efforts in building a peaceful and inclusive society. He appreciated the participation of youth and institutions in strengthening the values of unity and patriotism.
SSP Gurinderpal Singh also lauded the initiative, emphasizing the role of youth in spreading awareness about peace, brotherhood, and social cohesion.
The Padyatra concluded at Dak Bungalow Baramulla, where participants took a pledge to uphold national integrity and contribute towards a peaceful and progressive Jammu and Kashmir.
