Bandipora, August 18, 2025 — Deputy Commissioner Bandipora, Indu Kanwal Chib, chaired a review meeting on Monday at the Mini Secretariat to evaluate the progress of the Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) and the implementation of Kisan Khidmat Ghars (KKGs) in the district. The meeting focused on accelerating agricultural development and enhancing farmer support systems to strengthen the region’s agriculture and allied sectors.Chief Agriculture Officer Javaid Ahmad Samoon provided a detailed briefing on the current status of farmer registrations on the Kisan Khidmat Ghar application, a digital platform designed to streamline access to agricultural schemes and services. He also presented an overview of ongoing HADP initiatives, which aim to boost productivity, promote sustainable farming, and create employment opportunities in agriculture, horticulture, animal husbandry, and sheep husbandry sectors.
DC Chib directed all sectoral heads to expedite the implementation of HADP projects to meet designated targets. She emphasized the need for accurate and updated beneficiary lists, instructing departments to submit these to the Chief Agriculture Officer for data cleansing and effective record management. “Timely execution and proper documentation are critical for the success of HADP,” she stated, underscoring the importance of inter-departmental coordination to enhance farmer outreach and ensure seamless delivery of benefits.The Kisan Khidmat Ghars, established as one-stop centers for farmers, were highlighted as a key mechanism to facilitate access to government schemes, technical guidance, and resources. DC Chib stressed their role in fast-tracking HADP implementation, urging officers to leverage these centers to maximize farmer engagement and support.
The meeting saw participation from key officials, including Chief Planning Officer Mohammad Maqbool Lone, Chief Horticulture Officer Farooq Ahmad, Chief Animal Husbandry Officer Dr. Mukhtar Ahmad, District Sheep Husbandry Officer Dr. Peer Irshad, and other concerned officers. Their collective efforts are aimed at aligning HADP initiatives with the broader goal of transforming Bandipora’s agricultural landscape and fostering economic growth.This review follows ongoing efforts in Bandipora to strengthen the agricultural sector, with previous meetings approving hundreds of cases under HADP, including 317 cases in March 2025 across agriculture, horticulture, and husbandry departments. The district administration remains committed to achieving the objectives of HADP, contributing to the vision of a prosperous and sustainable agricultural ecosystem in Jammu and Kashmir.
