Jammu, January 19,2026-Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Saturday said that daughters are at the forefront of social transformation, playing a decisive role in driving change and progress in an ever-evolving world.
Addressing a gathering at a women-centric programme, the Lieutenant Governor emphasized that empowering girls through education, skill development, and equal opportunities is essential for building a just and progressive society. He said daughters today are breaking barriers across fields including education, science, sports, entrepreneurship, and public service.
“Daughters are not only shaping their own futures but are also strengthening families, communities, and the nation,” LG Manoj Sinha said, adding that societies progress faster when girls are given freedom, dignity, and opportunities to realise their full potential.
The Lieutenant Governor highlighted various government initiatives aimed at women empowerment, girl child education, and financial independence, noting that Jammu and Kashmir has witnessed significant strides in improving access to education and skill-based training for young women.
LG Sinha also called upon parents and society at large to encourage girls to dream big and pursue their ambitions without fear. He stressed that ensuring safety, respect, and equal rights for women is a shared responsibility.
Reiterating the administration’s commitment, the Lieutenant Governor said sustained investment in the empowerment of daughters is key to inclusive growth and long-term development. He urged youth to contribute positively towards building a society where women and girls can lead with confidence.
