Srinagar, July 11, 2025 – Chief Secretary Atal Dulloo chaired a comprehensive review of the National Health Mission (NHM) to evaluate the progress of health initiatives aimed at improving healthcare delivery across Jammu & Kashmir.
The review focused on key areas such as availability of essential drugs, maintenance of medical equipment, school health screening programs, and enhancement of critical care infrastructure under the PM-ABHIM (Ayushman Bharat Health Infrastructure Mission).
Chief Secretary Dulloo expressed satisfaction over several health indicators showing improvement. Notably, Infant Mortality Rate (IMR) has recorded a significant decline, and the UT has achieved an impressive 99% institutional delivery rate, reflecting stronger maternal and child care services.
