Srinagar , July 30, 2025 -Chief Secretary of Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo, chaired a high-level meeting to review the status of financial inclusion and the implementation of beneficiary-oriented schemes across the Union Territory. The meeting focused on ensuring complete saturation of central and state welfare schemes, seamless service delivery, and enhanced public outreach.
During the review, the Chief Secretary directed all departments to accelerate efforts for timely benefit disbursement, improve inter-departmental coordination, and integrate key databases to streamline operations. He emphasised that financial inclusion is essential for empowering citizens and fostering equitable development in the region.
The meeting also evaluated the current progress under major national schemes including the Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), and the Atal Pension Yojana (APY). Officials were instructed to conduct intensified awareness campaigns to ensure that eligible individuals, especially in remote and underserved areas, can access the full benefits of these programs.
Highlighting the government’s commitment to building a financially inclusive Jammu and Kashmir, Atal Dulloo reiterated the need for proactive governance, robust monitoring, and targeted outreach strategies to bridge existing service gaps.
The meeting concluded with a reaffirmation of the administration’s resolve to promote financial literacy, empower citizens at the grassroots, and deliver on the vision of a socially and economically secure Union Territory.
