Srinagar, July 25: More than just a security force, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) has emerged as a dedicated partner in the smooth conduct of the Shri Amarnath Ji Yatra 2025, ensuring the safety and security of every pilgrim undertaking the sacred journey to the holy cave shrine.
In a remarkable display of commitment, the women contingent of the CRPF’s Srinagar Sector has been deployed along the treacherous Baltal axis, providing a vital layer of security and emotional reassurance—especially to women and elderly yatris traversing the challenging mountainous terrain.
With round-the-clock patrols, crowd regulation, and assistance in emergencies, these women personnel are not only safeguarding pilgrims but also offering compassionate support, which has been deeply appreciated by yatris from across the country.
Officials from the CRPF Srinagar Sector stated that their personnel are working in close coordination with the Jammu & Kashmir Police, Army, disaster response teams, and civil administration to ensure a safe and peaceful yatra experience. Special emphasis has been laid on gender-sensitive security arrangements, reflecting the force’s evolving approach to inclusive and people-friendly service.
The presence of the women CRPF personnel on the steep and difficult stretches of the Baltal route is a testament to their resilience and dedication to duty. Their role has been instrumental in building confidence among yatris, particularly solo women travellers and senior citizens.
The CRPF’s contribution goes beyond routine deployment—it is an embodiment of their ethos to serve and protect, while ensuring that the sanctity and spirit of the yatra are preserved.
