CRPF Organises 2nd Football Cup in Srinagar | National Sports Day Special The second edition of CRPF Football Cup 2025 was organised with much enthusiasm at Synthetic Football Turf in Srinagar from August 29 -September 4, 2025. August 29 is celebrated as National Sports Day in India. PK Sharma of CRPF said that under civic action programme, every year CRPF organises a Football and Cricket Cup match. The best teams from Budgam, Ganderbal and Srinagar are chosen to play. Since 2012, we have been celebrating August 29, the birthday of Major Dhyanchand as National Sports Day. There are total 16 teams that will play in the CRPF Football Cup 2025 2nd edition. I want all the teams to play well and in good spirit and make this tournament a success, said the CRPF spokesperson.
