Common Service Centre in J&K’s Kishtwar helping poor become beneficiary of Golden Card

A Common Service Centre has been opened in Kishtwar, Jammu & Kashmir. Here Golden Card, Aadhar Card, etc are made. Last year I had got eye surgery done for my mother in Srinagar at a cost of Rs 25000. The doctors had said that the other eye surgery will be done the next year but we did not have the Golden Card then. Now with the Golden Card we did not have to spend a single rupee and my mother’s other eye surgery has been done at RS Pura hospital. This is a very good scheme. With Golden Card, people can go to any hospital to get their problems treated. Peer Umar, a Beneficiary of Golden Card shared his experience. He said that his father was due for a surgery and the cost was arriving at Rs 3 lakh. I feel everyone should get their Golden Card made. The SEHAT Golden Cardholders can avail free healthcare treatments in any PMJAY registered hospitals across the country. Care givers said how well the patients were getting treatment with the Golden Card. If they did not have the card then Rs 2 lakh could have been easily spent on hospital treatment. This is a very good scheme and we would like to thank the Prime Minister Narendra Modi for startng the scheme. This is unbelievable, said another man. Every individual will get medical aid up to Rs 5 lakh. Not only me but everyone here is thankful for the beneficial scheme, said a man in Kishtwar.
