Kupwara, September 6 , 2025: Chief Medical Officer Kupwara today visited Sub-District Hospital (SDH) Tangdar to assess healthcare facilities and review arrangements for the upcoming Mega Medical Camp at Teetwal.
During the inspection, the CMO took a detailed round of various hospital units, including OPD, emergency, and diagnostic sections. He interacted with doctors, paramedics, and staff to ensure smooth delivery of services to patients. Special emphasis was laid on maintaining hygiene, availability of medicines, and preparedness for emergencies.
The CMO also held a review meeting with hospital authorities regarding the forthcoming Mega Health Camp at Teetwal, being organised in collaboration with district administration and medical teams. The camp aims to provide specialised healthcare services, diagnostic facilities, and awareness programmes for the local population, especially those living in border areas.
He directed the medical staff to work in coordination and ensure that adequate arrangements including registration, specialist consultation, essential medicines, and referral facilities are put in place before the event.
Highlighting the importance of outreach healthcare initiatives, the CMO said the Teetwal Mega Medical Camp will benefit hundreds of people from remote and border villages of Kupwara district, ensuring access to quality healthcare at their doorstep.
The administration is also making logistical arrangements for smooth conduct of the camp, including patient transportation and accommodation for visiting medical specialists.
