Srinagar, November 1,2025: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah inaugurated the Kashmir Marathon Exhibition in Srinagar, marking the beginning of a series of events leading up to the highly anticipated Kashmir Marathon 2025.
The exhibition, organised to celebrate the spirit of fitness, unity, and sportsmanship, showcases marathon memorabilia, athlete profiles, health awareness stalls, and exhibits from leading sports brands and fitness organisations.
Speaking at the inauguration, Omar Abdullah said the Kashmir Marathon has become a symbol of peace, resilience, and togetherness, bringing participants from across the country to the Valley. “The marathon represents the collective spirit of Kashmir — energetic, united, and forward-looking. Events like this promote healthy living and strengthen community bonds,” he said.
The Chief Minister commended the organisers for their efforts in promoting sports tourism and providing a platform for athletes and enthusiasts to engage in meaningful fitness activities. He emphasised the government’s continued support toward building a vibrant sports culture in Jammu and Kashmir.
Officials from the J&K Sports Council, marathon organisers, athletes, and local youth participated in the event, which also featured cultural performances and fitness demonstrations.
The Kashmir Marathon Exhibition will remain open for visitors throughout the week, highlighting the role of sports in promoting wellness, unity, and peace in the region.
