JAMMU, JULY 29: In a significant move to strengthen water supply infrastructure, the Chief Minister today flagged off a fleet of water tankers under the Jal Shakti Department during the Van Mahotsav-2025 celebrations held in Jammu.
This initiative aims to enhance the availability of safe drinking water in water-scarce regions across the Union Territory. Speaking at the occasion, the Chief Minister highlighted the government’s commitment to ensuring water security, especially in rural and remote areas.
He appreciated the efforts of the Jal Shakti Department for their proactive approach and reiterated the administration’s resolve to promote sustainable water management, forest conservation, and climate resilience as key pillars of development.
