CM Omar Abdullah flags Off K2K EV drive from SKICC

SRINAGAR, FEBRUARY 24: Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the second season of the Kashmir to Kanyakumari (K2K) Electric Vehicle (EV) drive, marking the beginning of the fastest-ever EV journey, from the lawns of the Sher-i-Kashmir International Convention Center (SKICC).

During his interaction with the organisers, CM Abdullah congratulated and extended his best wishes to all participants. He underscored the significance of the event, stating, “This drive is a testament to the remarkable advancements in vehicle technology, the development of charging infrastructure, and the rapid growth of India’s EV ecosystem.”

The Chief Minister expressed confidence in the team’s ambition to surpass their previous record. This year, they aim to complete the journey from Kashmir to Kanyakumari in a remarkable 80 hours, driving the Tata Curvv EV. The vehicle is equipped with next-generation Gen 2 motor technology, a powerful 55kWh battery, and benefits from India’s rapidly expanding EV infrastructure, setting the stage for a new benchmark in long-distance electric travel.

CM Abdullah wished the participants a safe and successful journey, emphasising that their accomplishment would inspire greater adoption of sustainable transportation across the country.
