CM Omar Abdullah Brings Relief to 80,000 Lives in J&K with New Rohmoo Steel Bridge A double lane steel truss girder bridge at Rohmoo, Pulwama, Jammu & Kashmir was completed on March 24, 2025. The bridge spans 150 metres in length. On 15th April. 2025, the bridge was inaugurated by the Chief Minister of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Omar Abdullah. An elderly man in J&K said that he used to cross the route when he was a child. It was partially damamged then. In 2014 floods, the route was fully damaged. The people were facing a lot of difficulties travelling to and from this area. Landlords come and go from here, cow fodder also travels the same route. All the people from Kashmir and Islamabad used to go from here and they were facing a lot of problem. So we are happy that the bridge has been constructed, the elderly man said. An official stated that this bridge is important as it will serve 80,000 people. It connects Budgam and Pulwama districts. R&B completed the bridge in record 15 months after taking it over in 2023 from JKPCC. JKPCC had begun constructing the bridge in 2017.
