Pulwama , 27 September , 2025: As part of the nationwide cleanliness initiative “Ek Ghanta Aik Saath”, a cleanliness drive was successfully conducted today at the Public Park near the DC Office, Pulwama. The campaign witnessed active participation from officials, students, volunteers, and local residents, who collectively dedicated one hour towards making the park clean and green.
During the drive, plastic waste, wrappers, and other litter were removed from the premises to restore the park’s beauty and ensure a healthy environment for the public. The initiative was aimed at spreading awareness about the importance of sanitation and encouraging citizens to take ownership of public spaces.
Speaking on the occasion, officials emphasized that “Ek Ghanta Aik Saath” is not just a campaign but a movement to inculcate the habit of cleanliness and environmental responsibility among people. They called for sustained public participation to complement government efforts under the Swachh Bharat Abhiyan.
The District Administration appreciated the collective spirit shown by the participants and reiterated its commitment to organizing more such drives in the future to promote hygiene, waste management, and sustainable living in Pulwama.
