Srinagar, April 21, 2025 – On the occasion of Civil Services Day, Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir, Manoj Sinha, extended warm greetings to all civil servants, applauding their exemplary contributions to achieving national goals and advancing development objectives through meticulous planning, innovative policy initiatives, and steadfast implementation. Celebrated annually on April 21, this day underscores the vital role of civil servants in shaping a progressive and inclusive India.
In his address, LG Sinha emphasized the unifying role of civil servants in bridging policy and action, stating, “Your unwavering commitment to public service and your ability to transform vision into reality through strategic planning and effective policy implementation are truly commendable. You are the architects of a stronger, more prosperous Jammu and Kashmir and a Viksit Bharat (Developed India) by 2047.”
This year’s Civil Services Day celebrations in J&K focused on the theme of “Innovation for Inclusive Growth,” highlighting the importance of adaptive governance and innovative solutions to address challenges like digital transformation, sustainable development, and equitable access to resources. LG Sinha urged civil servants to harness technology and data-driven approaches to enhance governance and ensure inclusive development across the Union Territory.
The Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Service (JKAS) and other civil services were lauded for their instrumental role in driving transformative projects, maintaining peace, and fostering socio-economic progress in the region. LG Sinha particularly highlighted their efforts in implementing sustainable policies that align with national priorities while addressing local needs. “Your resilience in overcoming challenges and your dedication to public welfare are the cornerstone of J&K’s development journey,” he added.
