Kashmir ,December 25,2025-Churches across Srinagar have been beautifully decorated to mark the celebration of Christmas, creating a vibrant and joyous atmosphere in the heart of the city. Adorned with twinkling lights, beautifully lit Christmas trees, colorful wreaths, and festive ornaments, the churches reflect the spirit of peace, hope, and celebration associated with the festival.
From the historic churches in the city to smaller prayer halls, preparations have been underway for days as the local Christian community readied places of worship for the occasion. The decorations, glowing against the winter chill of Kashmir, have added warmth and charm, attracting not only devotees but also visitors from other faiths.
Special prayer services, carol singing, and midnight Mass are scheduled to be held, with arrangements made to ensure smooth conduct of celebrations. Church authorities said that Christmas in Srinagar continues to be celebrated in an atmosphere of harmony, with people from different communities joining in to extend greetings and goodwill.
