SRINAGAR, OCTOBER 24: A magnificent Chrysanthemum Garden is all set to be inaugurated on October 25, 2025, at the Nehru Memorial Botanical Garden in Srinagar by the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Jammu and Kashmir. The newly developed garden promises to be a major attraction, showcasing a dazzling variety of chrysanthemum blooms in a vibrant array of colours and patterns.
The initiative, led by the Department of Floriculture, Gardens and Parks, aims to promote eco-tourism, floral diversity, and horticultural awareness among locals and visitors. Spread across a scenic expanse near the famous Chashma Shahi Gardens, the Chrysanthemum Garden is expected to become a seasonal highlight for both nature enthusiasts and tourists.
Officials said that the project underscores the government’s commitment to sustainable tourism and green development in Jammu and Kashmir. The garden will also serve as a platform for students, researchers, and horticulturists to study ornamental plant varieties and innovative floral practices.
Speaking about the inauguration, an official from the Floriculture Department stated, “The Chrysanthemum Garden is not just a visual delight but also a step toward raising awareness about environmental conservation and floriculture as a livelihood avenue.”
With the blooming season coinciding with the tourist influx during autumn, the new attraction is poised to enhance the Valley’s reputation as a hub for eco-tourism and horticultural innovation.
