Kashmir , May 27,2026- Ganderbal is witnessing vibrant activity as cherry harvesting picks up pace across orchards in the district, marking the arrival of one of Kashmir’s most awaited fruit seasons.
Farmers and orchard owners are busy harvesting fresh cherries from orchards spread across various parts of Ganderbal. The harvesting season has brought renewed activity to the horticulture sector, with growers expecting good production and better market returns this year.
Known for its quality fruit cultivation, Ganderbal plays an important role in Kashmir’s horticulture economy. Cherry growers said favorable weather conditions and improved farming practices have contributed to healthy fruit production this season.
