Budgam, September 6 , 2025: The District Administration Budgam has intensified relief measures by deploying medical teams, mobile ambulances, and essential medicines to flood-affected villages including Rakh Shalina, Shalina, Bagh Shakurshah, Seerbagh, Summerbugh, and Zoonipora.
The initiative aims to provide timely healthcare support to residents impacted by recent floods, ensuring immediate medical attention for vulnerable families. Mobile ambulances have been stationed in affected areas to facilitate emergency referrals, while doctors and paramedics are conducting on-site consultations.
Deputy Commissioner Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat emphasised that no village should be left without medical coverage and directed health officials to maintain 24×7 availability of staff and medicines in flood-hit zones. Special attention is being given to children, elderly, and patients with chronic illnesses to prevent complications arising from waterborne and seasonal diseases.
Locals have appreciated the administration’s swift response in providing medical relief and restoring essential services. Officials confirmed that the district health department will continue its outreach until the situation normalises.
