Srinagar , December 6,2025 : The Jammu & Kashmir police honoured three civilians who acted as first responders during the Nowgam Police Station blast, along with Nazakat Shah, who saved multiple tourists during the Pahalgam attack.
The awardees received the DG Commendation and a cash reward as a goodwill gesture acknowledging their courage and quick action in life-threatening situations. Officials highlighted that their bravery not only helped prevent further casualties but also set a strong example of civic responsibility and heroism.
The recognition underscores the UT police’s commitment to honouring ordinary citizens who perform extraordinary acts in service of public safety. Authorities encouraged citizens to remain vigilant and proactive in emergency situations, reinforcing the importance of community cooperation in law enforcement and disaster response.
