Srinagar, November 1,2025: Celebrated Bollywood actors Shishir Sharma and Jayati Bhatia expressed their excitement and appreciation for the return of the Kashmir World Film Festival (KWFF) to Srinagar, being held from November 1 to 7.
The actors, who are among the notable guests attending the festival, lauded the initiative for reviving cinematic culture in the Valley and providing a platform for filmmakers, artists, and audiences to come together in celebration of global cinema.
Speaking about the event, Shishir Sharma said, “It feels wonderful to see such an incredible celebration of films return to Kashmir. The Kashmir World Film Festival is a bridge between creativity and culture, and it’s heartening to witness local talent being appreciated on a global stage.”
Jayati Bhatia shared similar sentiments, saying, “Kashmir has always been close to my heart. The energy, the art, the people — everything here is inspiring. I hope the festival continues every year and becomes a major attraction for filmmakers and audiences worldwide.”
The KWFF 2025 aims to showcase the best of national and international cinema while encouraging regional filmmakers and promoting Kashmir as a creative destination. The week-long event features screenings, workshops, panel discussions, and interactive sessions with film personalities.
Festival organisers said the growing participation from artists across India and abroad reflects the success of the initiative in positioning Srinagar as a vibrant hub of cultural and cinematic exchange.
