Bharat Shiksha Summit 2025: Manoj Sinha drives education vision at Vigyan Bhawan

Kashmir , April 3, 2025 – The Bharat Shiksha Summit 2025, organised by the Balaji Foundation, commenced today at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi, with a focus on deliberating critical issues in education and crafting a forward-looking education roadmap for 2025 and beyond. The summit, themed “Shaping the Future of Education,” brought together prominent leaders, policymakers, educationists, legal experts, and EdTech innovators to address challenges and explore opportunities in India’s evolving educational landscape.

The inaugural session featured a keynote address by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, who emphasized the need for holistic reforms to align education with global advancements. Supreme Court Judge Justice Rajesh Bindal highlighted the urgency of revising legal education syllabi to prioritize practical training, pointing to quality gaps in the current system. Other notable speakers included Balaji Foundation Chairperson Rajshri Rai, Senior Advocate Pradeep Rai, and AICTE Chairman Prof. TG Sitharam, who underscored the role of technology and innovation in transforming education.

A key session on the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 vision featured Jammu & Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, who outlined strategies to integrate skill development and digital learning into the education system. Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak, MP Naveen Jindal, and Association of Indian Universities Secretary General Pankaj Mittal also shared insights on fostering inclusive and industry-aligned education.

The summit addressed diverse themes, including Education, Culture & Contemporary Development and Imagining Indian Education. Speakers like Goa Minister Rohan Khaunte, historian Dr. Vikram Sampath, and Vice-Chancellors from leading universities discussed the role of cultural integration and innovation in education. A dedicated session on Legal Education and Training explored bridging the gap between theory and practice, with inputs from Supreme Court Judge Justice JK Maheshwari and Attorney General R. Venkatramani.

The final session, “From Verses to Values: Nurturing National Identity Through Poetry & Culture,” featured MPs Manoj Tiwari and Sudhanshu Trivedi, alongside renowned poets, emphasizing the role of cultural heritage in education.

The Bharat Shiksha Summit 2025 aims to lay the groundwork for transformative reforms, addressing challenges like faculty shortages, digital divides, and outdated curricula while promoting global educational advancements. By fostering collaboration among stakeholders, the summit seeks to prepare India’s educational institutions for a dynamic future, ensuring they empower students to thrive in a rapidly changing world.
