Jammu , February 3,2026- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha on Tuesday said that teachers and their craft form the backbone of society and the soul of the nation, highlighting the decisive role educators play in shaping the future of the country.
Addressing a gathering at an education-related event, the Lieutenant Governor emphasised that teachers are the bedrock of tomorrow, as they mould young minds to face emerging global challenges such as technological disruptions, artificial intelligence, climate change, and economic transformation.
LG Manoj Sinha said a classroom is not limited to four walls and a blackboard, but is a space of transformation where ideas are forged, values are nurtured, and futures are shaped. He stressed that forward-thinking and innovative teachers are essential to equip students with critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability.
He called for continuous upskilling of educators to keep pace with evolving learning paradigms and emerging technologies, enabling students to thrive in an increasingly complex and uncertain world.
The Lieutenant Governor also lauded teachers for their dedication and commitment, noting that beyond imparting knowledge, they inspire confidence, character, and a sense of purpose among students, thereby strengthening the foundations of a progressive and inclusive society.
He reiterated the administration’s commitment to supporting the education sector and empowering teachers to play a transformative role in nation-building and human development.
