Batala–Mang bridge nears completion in Rajouri, set to boost connectivity and emergency access

Samba,May 6,2026- The zero line village of Regal, located along the International Border in Samba, is set to witness a major transformation under the Vibrant Villages Programme. The initiative aims to convert remote border settlements into well-developed and self-sustaining communities.

Under this programme, Regal village will receive a comprehensive upgrade in basic infrastructure, including roads, electricity, drinking water supply, healthcare, and education facilities. The project will also focus on enhancing digital connectivity, promoting tourism, and generating local employment opportunities to curb migration from border areas.

Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha is expected to announce key benefits and developmental packages for the village, marking a significant step towards inclusive growth in border regions.

Residents have welcomed the move, expressing hope that the long-neglected village will finally see improved living conditions and better access to essential services. They believe that the Vibrant Village tag will open new avenues for economic growth and youth employment within the region.

The development of Regal as a Vibrant Village reflects the government’s broader vision to strengthen border areas by improving infrastructure, boosting livelihoods, and ensuring that residents living along the International Border are empowered and connected to mainstream growth.
