Basohli Utsav Unites Artists & Youth for a Culturally Rich, Developed India Basohli festival is a mark of art and culture, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha while inaugurating Basohli Utsav in Kashmir. This is the occasion when we remember the golden tales of appreciation of art and try to restore them in their original form and guide the future of art-rich Basohli and Jammu and Kashmir through dialogues on various topics.Basohli was known as Vishvasthali in ancient times. Those who know the fundamentals of art say that art is found when a person loses himself. I believe that Basohli festival unites all the forces of the art world and reminds all sections of the society that we are the inheritors of the great heritage of India. And along with cultural renaissance, they also have to contribute with their efforts in the journey of developed India. Our respected Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has understood the situation of India and Indians and has started efforts to develop India along with cultural renaissance and restore the self-confidence of India. A new faith in the nation’s ancient glory has, indeed, awakened among Indians. Not only the story of India but also the culture, art and tradition of India are becoming respected all over the world, LG said. The youth of Basohli should contribute immensely in the journey of developing India with the power of cultural diversity.I would like to request the youth of the new generation that it is your responsibility to preserve cultural unity and your cultural stream. Even bigger is the responsibility of the older generation to inculcate an inclusive mindset in the Amrit generation. I believe that Basohli festival is such an opportunity when we can awaken the consciousness of the society and together take the village Basohli to every corner of the world, not just in India, LG added. Let us all come together to provide it a global platform, LG said. A collective effort should be made by the administration and enlightened people to identify Basohli artists and further enhance their art. I would like this same string of unity to unite our youth through the Basohli festival with one mind and one spirit, they should come together to realise the vision of a developed India, said the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu & Kashmir, Shri Manoj Sinha.
