Baisakhi in Pulwama: A Celebration of Sikh Spirit, Unity & Communal Harmony Across Kashmir In big numbers Sikhs have come from district Pulwama, Srinagar, Baramulla, Anantnag and Shopian to celebrate the festival of Baisakhi at Gurudwara Shadimarg Saheb, Pulwama Langar, pakoras, tea, French fries and dal sabzi, mix veg and puri have been arranged for them here, said a Sikh man. Whoever comes, Hindu, Sikh, Muslims, langar seva is there for everyone. Guru Sahib gave Amrit to his five beloveds from the five religions and he himself also drank Amrit from them. He made sacrifices without any caste, colour or creed. And he has decorated the Sikh Pant, said a Sikh follower. On my behalf, I extend a million congratulations to my Muslim brothers and Kashmiri Hindus. Because they always celebrate with us and contribute their share just like Sikh Pant is contributing. Sadaat National Sports Club members too participated in the Baisakhi celebrations. We want peace, said a memeber. We want peace and brotherhood in Hindu, Muslim and Sikh community. We supplied juice and water here. We contributed out of our pockets as we want peace. Our Muslim brothers walk shoulder to shoulder with us and share in our joys and sorrows. We too share in their joys and sorrows, said a Sikh man. People of all communities celebrate this day together. We would like to thank all of you for celebrating this day with us, said a Sikh man celebrating Baisakhi. All religions should live together and not fight, only then our country will progress, said a youth from Sadaat National Sports Club.
