Ayushman Golden Card | A Lifesaving Shield for Doda Woman, Providing Access to Free Medical Care A few years ago, I had pain in my gall bladder. Then I went to a doctor. There I had to do an ultrasound in which it was reported that I had a stone in my gall bladder, narrated a Doda woman on how she was saved by the Ayushman Golden Card. I had a lot of pain. I went to a private hospital and they said the charge will be Rs 50,000 for the operation. We did not have that much money as my husband did labour work for livelihood. Then somebody told us about the Ayushman Golden Card and we got the card made. I could get my operation done in the Government Medical College & Associated Hospital in Doda, J&K through the Ayushman Card. Tests, medicines and treatment, everything was done there for free. Therefore, I am thankful to the Government that they have made this PM JAY scheme (Jan Arogya Scheme) for us poor people, said the woman in Doda, Jammu Kashmir.
