Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission | Abha App Eases Patient Experience | Eliminates Queues in Poonch Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission is the digital India vision of our Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi. Dr Zulfqar Ahmed, Medical Superintendent in Poonch government hospital said, there are different components under Ayushman Bharat scheme. One scheme was the Golden Card in which the patient got free treatment in government hospital including surgery. The Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission wants to reduce the suffering of the public. Hence the Abha app has been created in Digital Healthcare Services which is part of Ayushman Bharat Digital Mission. The Abha app stores the records of patients. In our hospital at Poonch, the Abha app sees to it that 600-700 patients do not have to stand in hospital queues. The scan and share QR code lets patients scan which generates a token. We made our staff members help patients with the app and created awareness, said the medical superintendent. This will help as patients can register sitting at home. They will not have to stand in queues nor wait endlessly and can save their time and energy. When the token is generated they can come and see the designated doctor at the appointed time. This way they can get their medical checkup and manage time as well. The Abha app will store the medical files digitally and the patient history/problem can be read by the doctor. The J&K Lieutenant Governor, Shri Manoj Sinha has tried to implement it very strictly.
