Srinagar,January 26,2026- On the occasion of National Voters’ Day 2026, the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO), Union Territory of Jammu and Kashmir, felicitated District Election Officers for their exemplary contributions during the recently conducted General and Assembly Elections.
Among those recognised were Minga Sherpa and Ms. Sudan Ayushi, who served as District Election Officers and played a key role in ensuring the smooth, transparent, and efficient conduct of the electoral process. The recognition acknowledged their leadership, administrative coordination, and commitment to upholding the integrity of democratic institutions at the district level.
The CEO, UT of J&K, commended the officers for successfully managing complex election logistics, maintaining strict adherence to the Election Commission’s guidelines, and facilitating inclusive voter participation across diverse and challenging regions. The efforts of the district election machinery were instrumental in ensuring peaceful polling, effective grievance redressal, and high standards of electoral management.
Speaking on the occasion, officials highlighted that National Voters’ Day serves as a reminder of the importance of strengthening democratic values and encouraging citizen participation in the electoral process. The recognition of field officers, they noted, reflects the Election Commission’s emphasis on professionalism, accountability, and dedication in election administration.
