Ayodhya Parv 2025: J&K LG Manoj Sinha celebrates Ayodhya’s timeless legacy at IGNCA

Kashmir, April 11, 2025 – The Ayodhya Parv festival kicked off at the Indira Gandhi National Events Calendar for the Arts , hosted by IGNCA, Shri Ayodhya Nyas, and Pragya Sansthan. Running through April 13, this three-day celebration honors Ayodhya as a vibrant center of spirituality, unity, and cultural heritage, bringing together devotees, scholars, and artists to reflect on its enduring significance.

Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, speaking at the opening, captured Ayodhya’s essence with passion. “Ayodhya is far more than a place—it’s the heartbeat of spiritual awakening and joy, radiating the energy, consciousness, and life force of our society,” he said. He portrayed Ayodhya as a treasure of India’s richest traditions and a beacon for devotees, rooted in its sacred identity as the birthplace of Prabhu Shri Ram—a unifying symbol and one of India’s holiest pilgrimage sites.

The festival opened with a showcase of Ayodhya’s legacy through art and dialogue. Visitors were drawn to an exhibition featuring Vasudev Kamath’s paintings inspired by Maryada Purushottam, alongside Pahari miniature artworks based on the Valmiki Ramayana and a striking depiction of the Chaurasi Kos Parikrama pilgrimage tradition. These displays invited attendees to dive into Ayodhya’s spiritual and cultural depths.

The day also featured a lively discussion with LG Manoj Sinha, Union Culture and Tourism Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, and Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust general secretary Champat Rai, exploring Ayodhya’s role in shaping India’s cultural and spiritual identity. The festival will continue with symposia, including one on April 13 titled “Shri Ram in the Essays of Kuber Nath Rai,” promising rich exchanges among scholars and attendees.

LG Manoj Sinha’s presence amplified the event’s national resonance, underscoring Ayodhya’s timeless message of faith, good governance, and unity. Ayodhya Parv invites everyone to connect with the divine legacy of Prabhu Shri Ram’s birthplace, deepening ties to India’s spiritual and cultural roots.
