Poonch, April 8,2026- In a significant initiative to promote awareness about communication challenges among children, an orientation program was conducted at Army Goodwill School Sawjian, located along the Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch.
The session was led by Dr Neha Tiwari, President of the Sachetataa Foundation, who addressed students, teachers, and parents on various communication-related difficulties faced by school children.
The program focused on raising awareness about issues such as speech delays, language disorders, stuttering, and hearing challenges, which often go unnoticed in early stages. Dr. Tiwari emphasized the importance of early identification and timely intervention to ensure better developmental outcomes for children.
Interactive sessions were conducted to help participants understand the signs and symptoms of these conditions, along with practical strategies to support affected children in both academic and social environments.
Given the school’s location in a remote border area, the initiative holds particular importance in bridging the awareness gap and ensuring that children in far-flung regions have access to essential knowledge and support systems.
Teachers and parents appreciated the effort, noting that such programs play a crucial role in creating an inclusive learning environment and empowering communities with the tools to address developmental challenges effectively.
The initiative reflects a growing focus on child development and inclusive education in Jammu & Kashmir, especially in underserved and border areas.
