The Municipal Committee of Chadoora, a town in Budgam district of Jammu & Kashmir, organised a Jashn-e-Chadoora programme, whose mission was to spread the message of cleanliness in every home of Chadoora. The officials said, the government has, according to plan, set up in each Municipal Council Committee a Solid Waste Management facilities plan. We have installed a digital rice mill machine in Pulwama district in Jammu & Kashmir, says Riyaz Ahmad Dar, Proprietor, Dar Rice Mill. The J&K Khadi and Village Industries Board gave us Rs 20 lakh to set up the machines. Now, workers do not have to lift the dhan sacks on their head and pour it into the machine. Kashmir’s first-ever BPO Unit has been set up in Bandipora district of J&K, giving jobs to hundreds of local youth. The Prime Minister said it will open doors of opportunities for the young people. The youth of Bandipora are appreciative of the initiative by the PM. The unemployed youth after completing their education can find work and start earning at the BPO.
