KUPWARA, JANUARY 20: Deputy Commissioner , Ayushi Sudan, convened a meeting of all concerned officers to finalise the arrangements for the upcoming Republic Day celebrations in the district. The meeting aimed to ensure seamless coordination for the smooth conduct of the national event.
Speaking at the meeting, the DC emphasised the importance of making the Republic Day celebrations both attractive and informative. She directed all officers to work towards hassle-free arrangements, ensuring the event reflects the spirit of national pride and unity.
DC Sudan also highlighted the need to maintain proper protocol for the seating arrangements and instructed the police department to oversee the proper handling of the National Flag and security arrangements.
Additionally, she announced that Republic Day functions will be held at the Sub-Divisional, Tehsil, and Block levels, with the same enthusiasm and fervor as the main district function.
Earlier, ADC Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman, briefed the meeting on the detailed programme and the responsibilities of each officer. He informed the attendees that the main Republic Day function will take place at the District Police Lines (DPL) Kupwara, where the National Flag will be hoisted, and the VIP will take the salute at the March Past.
The DC conducted a segment-wise review of all essential arrangements, including power supply, water, sanitation, and seating. She instructed the concerned departments to ensure these facilities are in place well before the event.
In closing, DC Sudan urged all officers to ensure their presence, along with their staff, at the Republic Day functions to ensure their smooth and successful execution.
The meeting was attended by SSP Kupwara, Ghulam Jeelani; ADC Kupwara, M Rouf Rehman; and senior officers from BSF, CRPF, Police, along with other district and sectoral officials.
