Kashmir Ahead

Arhan Bagati: A new face of Kashmiri youth leadership

Srinagar, January 27,2026- At just 26 years of age, Arhan Bagati has emerged as a name Kashmir needs to speak about more often. While many in their early twenties are still discovering their path, Bagati was already operating at a national and international level of responsibility, shaping outcomes in sports administration and cultural engagement.

At the age of 22, Arhan Bagati was reported as India’s first and the world’s youngest Deputy Chef de Mission for a Paralympic contingent, a role he undertook during the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The position, involving institutional coordination, athlete management, and international liaison, reflected trust earned through competence rather than symbolism.

Following his work in global sports administration, Bagati shifted focus toward cultural and creative engagement, playing a key role in reviving Bollywood’s interest in Kashmir. He actively coordinated with filmmakers, production houses, and local stakeholders to project the Valley not as a conflict backdrop, but as a safe, vibrant, and professionally viable filming destination.

In 2025, he further expanded his portfolio by becoming co-producer of the Hindi action thriller “Ground Zero”, starring Emraan Hashmi. The project marked another step in integrating Kashmir into mainstream Indian cinema through professional collaboration and creative credibility.

Arhan Bagati’s journey represents a new Kashmir narrative—one defined by youth leadership, institutional responsibility, and constructive nation-building across governance, sports, and creative industries. His work underscores a shift from representation through controversy to representation through contribution and credibility.
