Ganderbal, March 18,2026- Continuing its anti-drug अभियान, an awareness camp was organized at Gund in Ganderbal district under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan as part of the CAP 2025–26 initiative.
The programme aimed to create awareness about the harmful effects of drug abuse and to encourage youth to lead a drug-free life. A large number of students, local residents, and officials participated in the camp.
Focus on Drug Abuse Prevention
During the session, speakers highlighted the rising threat of substance abuse and its devastating impact on individuals, families, and society. They stressed the importance of awareness, early intervention, and community support in combating drug addiction.
Participants were educated about the physical, psychological, and social consequences of drug abuse and were encouraged to make informed choices and stay away from harmful substances.
Youth Urged to Lead Change
Special emphasis was laid on empowering the youth to act as agents of change in society. Officials urged young participants to spread awareness among their peers and contribute towards building a drug-free community.
Interactive Session Held
An interactive session was also conducted, allowing participants to raise concerns and seek guidance on prevention and rehabilitation. Experts addressed queries and highlighted the availability of support systems for those affected.
The initiative forms part of ongoing efforts under the Nasha Mukt Bharat Abhiyan, which aims to eliminate drug abuse through awareness, community participation, and sustained outreach programmes.
